I haven’t posted in the Tumblr lately and highly doubt anyone reads it. Sorry about that! But things have changed at Three-Words since the last time I updated the Tumblr. And just to list them:

If you guys are experiencing down time at the moment, it is because I had to changed the nameservers. Usually it takes about 24-48 hours for them to propagate.

The server upgrade/transfer is nearly done! If you guys try logging in now and see under the ‘notices’ this message:
“You are on the new server! If you see this message you can now update!”
It means your account has transferred over (obviously, lol). However, not all the accounts have been moved, so do not worry if yours hasn’t.
Also, I am waiting for my host to release their new IPs and once they do and I change them - there might be some small downtime.

The server upgrade/move has now started and therefore, you will not be able to access your accounts. Logging in may cause a ban on your IP (which means you won’t be able to load any of the sites).
The transfer can take around 48-72 hours. For all the news and updates, please follow the Twitter or Tumblr. I’ll send another email around when everything is completed and looking good :D

If your site is down, don’t worry. The DNS probably needs to propagate, which might take a couple of hours, a day or more. All your files are still with me, so it’s okay~

Hey guys, the server transfer is nearly completed. There are still some things that I need to do, so you might experience downtime as the DNS propagates. I don’t know how long that takes, but usually 24-48 hours.

You might have noticed that you cannot log in into your accounts. FTP has been disabled and the server transfer will be starting shortly.The transfer is a long and tiring process, so it may take up to 3 days or so to get everything done.

Hey guys. Everything is back up now and everything should be fine. If you’re a domain owner and you can’t see your site, don’t worry, just like the time with the server move, you’ll just have to wait a little until the DNS propagates.
The downtime drives me crazy too ;) So does data loss! But the sites are back up now! If you are missing updates etc it means you updated your site after the backups.
Now I have a question for you all. Are you happy with Three-Words hosting? Is the support good? Are you happy with my host? They are good and reliable, but circumstances do pop up of course, just with every other host.
If you’re not happy with my current host, I am willing to change hosts though I am a bit reluctant. It’s basically down to you guys, really. So answer truthfully. This is your chance to voice your opinions.
And in light of this incident, I will now be taking back-ups :). They will be weekly or maybe every couple of days. But it is still your responsibility to take your own back-up of your own site.
I’m a bit afraid of the comments hahaha. Please remember to be constructive if you want to criticize and remember that I’m only one person and host people in my free time :)
Account restoration is in progress. Some sites are up, while some are down, so please don’t be alarmed. I’ll be sending an email around and updating the site when everything is completed.
Now if your site is already up, and you’re wondering why you are missing updates, it’s because the back-up was taken after you updated. I’m sorry about this! :(
